The life of the believer is one rooted in faith – a walk of faith, so to say. Believing is grounded on trust, without which it is impossible to please God. There is an operation of faith that deeply prods into the divine to bring about supernatural manifestations. And, the believer is expected – based on the words of Jesus Christ – to be a conduit through which these supernatural wonders are done. While the world eagerly anticipates the revelation of God’s son, many believers don’t appear to be pushing themselves to do so. And, as the intellects know from Scripture, believers are made to carry out God’s will. God desires that the believer does everything for His glory alone. The only way to do this is from a place of faith. Thus we’ll focus on aspects or factors that can help strengthen a believer’s faith.
Knowing God
Many people worldwide know something about God – maybe through the works of His hand, what they heard, etc. – but there are different levels of understanding. There is a way one can know God – not a means to start being puffed up – that leads to manifesting His goodwill for mankind. Seeing yourself as a son or daughter of God who is the Almighty with power in His hand can stir you up to the point of dispelling the works of darkness around you. It, however, has to be said that there is a need to build intimacy for this (knowing) to be forged. It is in the place of intimacy that we ultimately get to have a full or good grasp of the mind of God. But it’s important to remember that one can only know as much as God’s will reveals to us – as He engages us one-on-one. His sovereignty remains unshaken.
The Word of God
The Bible is loaded with promises, God’s direct statements, expressions of God’s thinking, predictions, and so on; all these are there to increase the believer’s confidence. You may decide to tune in to some Bible news radio to follow the trail of programs. In addition to spending time in the Word, you’ll get closer to God if you do this. Keep your head up [in faith] and be better equipped to help others who may be going through life’s ups and downs with the life-giving words found in the Bible. It’s even possible to find an audio Bible that may be listened to everywhere you go.
The exploit of Jesus Christ
The believer is expected to look unto Jesus Christ, the author, and finisher of their faith. Jesus is our perfect example, and as we see in the Bible, He went about doing good. He healed sicknesses and demonic oppressions, raised the dead, fed multitudes, and ultimately poured out His (unconditional) love on us all. These acts inspire believers to establish God’s will and desire on earth. For God desires that all men be saved – even unto eternal salvation.
